15th Congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation

The Congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation (CAST) is  the region's largest and longest running gathering of transplant physicians, surgeons and other health professionals involved in transplantation held biennial in participating countries in Asia. The 1st Congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation was held at Bali Island, Indonesia in 1989. The scientific and medical level of organ transplantation in Asian countries has improved in 25 years. 

Henceforth, the 15th CAST to be held on November 27-30, 2017 in Cebu, Philippines shall showcase the transplant evolution in Asia. The Asian Society of Transplantation, now under the Presidency of Professor Anantharaman Vathsala remains at the forefront for the advancement of transplant science.

This meeting offers state of the art symposia that encompass the basic sciences, development of ethical principles, advocacy on organ donation, clinical outcomes, immunosuppression issues, innovations and inventions. The 15th CAST shall uphold the exceptional quality and comprehensive coverage of transplant topics, issues and controversies that have been the hallmark of the past Congresses.

Banking on the exceptional line up of speakers both from our beloved Asian counterparts as well as contributions from experts in the US and in Europe, the scientific programme shall tackle the most burning issues and questions on organ and tissue donation and transplantation. This Congress will also highlight the ethical and legal aspects with special emphasis on how transplantation and donation is practiced in Asia.
