Specialty Update Symposia

Introduction & objective
This course is organized as a joint effort of ESOT and its respective Organ Expert Sections. The Specialty Update Symposia intend to introduce young members and update established seniors on specific topics and recent achievements in transplantation. The course is organized one day prior to the biennial ESOT congress. During this meeting senior and junior members are updated on relevant topics and issues in transplantation by a selected number of invited speakers.

Courses
Currently, four Specialty Update Symposia will be organized by:
1. EBSOT on basic science,

2. ELITA on liver transplantation,
3. EPITA on pancreas and islet transplantation and
4. Thoracic Committee on thoracic transplantation.

When and Where
These Specialty Update Symposia take place during the ESOT Congress.
